I previously posted about Rascall Flat's "My wish" as a Father Daughter dance.... little did I know, it was a front runner for FMIL Newport as well.
I called her on Mother's Day to wish her a happy day, when she told me she got Rascall Flat's tickets and was considering it as a mother-son song. I guess great minds think a like! Luckily I have many options I'm considering. I think I'll end up giving my dad a CD with songs I like and let him choose.

I made a CD of 5 or 6 options that I liked and gave it to my Dad to pick from (or obviously if there was a different one he wanted that would be fine too) but I think it was overwhelming for him to pick one so he appreciated the CD!
I thought about what songs reflected mine & my dad's relationship. I asked for his thoughts, but he said he doesn't care what we dance to so I picked "Take Good Care of My Baby" by Bobby Vee. It's not the sweetest song ever, but it is a perfect description of us.
I ended up going with "I loved her first" by Heartland. The lyrics had me so choked up and just made me think of my Daddy so I knew it was the perfect song!
