I am super excited because we have a church!!! We have been looking for one that would allow us to get married for 5 months!!! Mr. Newport just sent news that we got Ok'ed at a church in the same town as the reception sight. It is a huge relief.
Now on to the DJ search. We have three appointments booked and 2 more we are interested in. I know 5 seems like a lot, but I think the DJ's more than anyone need to be seen in person. We want someone with a great personality who will make sure the night flows smoothly.
I'm not really sure what question to ask, does anyone have any advice?

YAY!!! Congrats on finding the church! That is definitely a big item to check off the list!
CONGRATS!!!! I bet that's a huge weight off your shoulders.
YAY CONGRATS!
yay! congrats on the church!
as for the DJ... we lucked out by having a good friend who works as a professional wedding/events dj. but I'd say that most of all, make sure you get along with them- do they make you laugh? does the meeting flow smoothly and was it enjoyable? here are some of the questions I asked when we met with our DJ a few weeks ago:
1. how many consultations are included in the package?
2. do you have liability insurance and back up equipment?
3.how long does it take for set up and tear down?
4. what format is the music in?
5. is gratuity included in the costs?
6. how much is the deposit and when's it due?
7. what are the overtime charges?
8. are there any additional/hidden charges?
9. what happens in case we have to cancel?
10. sample contract & outline of service.
Since we already know our DJ, I already knew what kinds of music he likes etc. but if I didn't, I'd probably ask things about their musical tastes, what they usually play to get the crowd going etc.
congrats! that is definitely a big one!
Oh I am happy for you! Congrats!
